The terms for using TurfHand
Last updated September 28, 2026
These terms are between TurfHand LLC ("TurfHand," "we," "us"), a Nebraska company, and the lawn care business that uses TurfHand ("you"). They cover the turfhand.com website, the TurfHand web application at app.turfhand.com, and the TurfHand Field app. By signing up for or using TurfHand, you agree to them. If you're signing up for a business, you're telling us you're allowed to agree for it.
Customers and employees of a lawn care business who use TurfHand through that business are also covered by that business's own terms, linked from its sign-in page.
The service
TurfHand is software for running the office side of a lawn care business: customers, quotes, scheduling, routes, crews, time, invoices, payments and messages. We keep improving it, which means features can change. We'll give you notice before removing anything you depend on.
Your account
- Keep the information you give us accurate, and keep your sign-in details private.
- You decide who in your business gets access and what they can do, and you're responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us right away if you think someone has gotten into your account.
Price
What you pay, and when, is what we agreed with you in writing. Founding crews use TurfHand free until we tell them otherwise, with at least 30 days' notice before any charge starts. Fees for outside services you choose to use through TurfHand, such as card processing or your own texting account, are between you and that provider.
Your information
Everything you put into TurfHand, including your customer list, stays yours. You give us permission to store and use it only to run the service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can ask for a copy of it at any time, and when you close your account we delete it.
Texting and email
TurfHand sends texts and emails on your behalf. Because they go out in your name, you agree to:
- Only message people who agreed to hear from you, and keep a record of that agreement. The software records consent where people give it on screen; consent you collect another way is on you.
- Follow the laws and carrier rules for business texting and email.
- Keep your business details and legal pages accurate, since texting registrations are approved based on them.
- Not use TurfHand for anything the texting carriers prohibit.
Carriers and messaging providers decide whether to approve and deliver texts. We can't promise they will, and we may pause texting for a business when a provider or the law requires it.
Using it the right way
You agree not to:
- Break the law or anyone else's rights with it.
- Try to get at another business's information, or around the limits on your own access.
- Overload, attack or reverse-engineer the service.
- Resell the service without our written agreement.
Outside services and AI
Parts of TurfHand work through other companies, such as payment processors, messaging providers, mapping services and accounting software you connect. Their own terms apply to what they do. Some features use AI to draft, suggest or answer. It can be wrong, so check what matters before you rely on it.
Ending it
You can stop using TurfHand at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why unless the law or someone's safety says otherwise. Before we close an account for any other reason, we'll give you at least 30 days to take a copy of your information.
No guarantees
We work hard to keep TurfHand running and correct, but we provide it "as is." We don't promise it'll be free of errors or never go down, and we disclaim any warranty the law lets us disclaim, including fitness for a particular purpose.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, TurfHand isn't liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it, or $100 if that's more.
Claims about how you used it
If someone brings a claim against us because of the messages you sent or the information you put in TurfHand, you'll cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.
Nebraska law
Nebraska law governs these terms. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Douglas County, Nebraska.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here, change the date at the top, and tell you ahead of any change that matters. Using TurfHand after that means you accept the new terms.
